Test Results

Getting your test results

When you see a member of the primary care team, you may be asked to have tests such as blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, or other investigations.

Before you leave the surgery, you will usually be told when and how to check your results. You can access your test results in the following ways:

  1. Contact your local surgery after 2pm
  2. Online request

It is your responsibility to check your test results. If you are advised to do so, you should also make an appointment to discuss the results with your GP or another appropriate clinician.

Non-urgent advice: Important Notice

Reception staff cannot give out test results unless they have been reviewed by a GP or clinician. The practice has a strict confidentiality and data protection policy.
Test results will only be given to the patient they relate to, unless the patient has given prior permission or is not capable of understanding the results themselves.

Questions about your results

If you would like to discuss your results with a clinician:

Submit an online request and your query will be reviewed by the appropriate member of the clinical team
